Doctor Cooper is a fellowship trained, board certified physiatrist. He is the co-founder of Princeton Spine and Joint Center which is a practice specializing in the non-operative care of spine, joint, muscle and nerve pain. Dr. Cooper is the author or editor of fourteen medical texts and served as the Chief Editor of the peer-review journal Current Reviews in Musculoskeletal Medicine (Springer) from 2007-2010. Dr. Cooper completed his Fellowship in Spine and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Medicine at the Spine Institute at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Cooper completed his Residency in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital, The University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell in New York, and completed a Transitional Year Residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, New Jersey. Dr. Cooper earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey.
