Prolotherapy for Low Back Pain
Dr. Simon Dagenais, DC, PhD, is currently a Scientist with the Research Institute at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario and Assistant Professor in the departments of Epidemiology and Community Medicine and Pediatrics. Trained as a chiropractor and clinical epidemiologist, Simon conducts research to support evidence-based management of spinal and orthopedic disorders. He is Research Director for CAM Research Institute in Irvine, California, a nonprofit research organization committed to scientific study of complementary therapies. He has also served as an investigator in pre-approval research trials of investigational drug therapies.
Simon is Associate Editor for The Spine Journal, a member of the North American Spine Society complementary medicine committee, and a consultant to the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Therapies in Health. Simon has co-authored several scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, including systematic reviews on prolotherapy for spinal disorders.
