Chiropractic Practice Description

I am an Upper Cervical Specific Chiropractor. I remove nerve interference allowing the patient’s Innate Intelligence (the governing life force that created the body) to fully express itself, thereby healing the body naturally. I do this by adjusting the first vertebra of the spine, (called the Atlas or C1), utilizing the Palmer Specific Upper Cervical Technique. The Atlas is unique in many ways. It is the vertebra that connects the head to the spine. It is the only vertebra that cannot self correct itself. If the Atlas misaligns it can press on the actual brain stem as it exits the skull to form the spinal cord. Since the skull rests upon the Atlas, the balance of the entire spine is dependent on the normal relationship of these two structures. The Upper Cervical Specific method of spinal correction restores the Atlas to its normal position, automatically restoring the entire spine to its normal postural position. The specific adjustment is a rapid painless thrust applied to the Atlas, just behind the ear.

A word about Innate Intelligence, Health and Chiropractic: We all tend to view the world in its physical rather than metaphysical sense, because it is much easier to perceive that which is tangible. However, our existence on earth and the function of the universe does not happen by mere coincidence. The formation of a baby in its mother’s womb occurs through the omnipotent direction of a universal intelligence. This “innate” intelligence within each of us, forms the baby from one single cell to 25,000,000,000,000 cells, each of which functions under the direction of that intelligence. The beating of our heart, replacement of damaged and worn out cells and all bodily functions are under the control of this “innate” intelligence, which works all through our lives, helping us stay healthy and quite literally, giving us “life”.

We are all taught to believe that sickness is a normal state of affairs for the body; part of the aging process. In chiropractic, however, we know that health is the normal state of the body throughout our lives and that sickness (dis-ease) is the result of spinal blockage of the life force. Some people find chiropractic difficult to accept because of its simplicity: no complicated tests, or diagnoses, drugs (with their myriad of side effects) or treatments. But chiropractic follows Natural Laws and because of that, is destined to become the health care of the future. Where there is clear communication between Innate Intelligence and the body, there can be no dis-ease. This applies to all living creatures. It is an immutable law. Only the power that created the body can heal the body.

Office hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00 to 11:30 then 1:30 to 7:00. Other days and times are available through special appointment only, as are house calls.
