Dr. Risa Sloves and Dr. Mark Joachim are a husband and wife chiropractic team who have been practicing for over 20 years and they have a family chiropractic practice with many areas of expertise.
Dr. Risa Sloves is currently 1 of 10 Chiropractic Physicians in Connecticut to have a 3 year post-doctorate degree and Board Certification in Maternity and Pediatric Care. Dr. Sloves focuses on providing exceptional chiropractic treatment for all aspects of pre- and post-natal care and she is certified in both the Webster and Bagnell Breach Turning Techniques as well as acupuncture. In addition to helping pregnant women with common painful conditions such as low back pain, sciatica, headaches and carpal tunnel syndrome, Dr. Sloves also provides pediatric chiropractic care including cranial sacral treatment for children of all ages and abilities. She also has several certifications for the diagnosis, treatment and management of scoliosis. Dr. Sloves has been the Fairfield County Leader of the Holistic Moms Network for many years and she is the founder of Women of Wellness, a network of prenatal and early family care, in Fairfield County. One of Dr. Sloves’ primary goals is to help all pregnant woman have an educated and empowering delivery and to encourage families to strive for a life of optimal wellness.
Dr. Mark Joachim is a Chiropractic Physician who specializes in the conservative treatment of disorders related to the spine and neuromusculoskeletal system such as arthritis, whiplash, fibromyalgia and migraines. In addition, Dr. Joachim is the first and currently only physician in Connecticut with Advanced Certification in the BioSET Allergy Elimination Program which focuses on the non-invasive diagnosis, treatment and elimination of of food, environmental and chemical allergies and sensitivities and associated chronic health conditions without the use of medications or injections.
