Chiropractic Practice Description

My office aims to educate our patients about Chiropractic and other natural solutions to common health problems. I teach patients to take a more active and responsible role in restoring and maintaining their own health. The purpose of care is to restore and maintain the health of the whole person and not just treat isolated symptoms. Chiropractic care is aimed at restoring and maintaining normal joint, muscle, and nervous system function, improving well being and quality of life. Some healthcare providers define “health” as the absence of disease, and therefore, if you are not diseased than you must be “healthy.” My office defines health as being free of disease, but also having adequate energy levels, healthy digestion, ideal physiological function, etc. As a chiropractor, I understand that every patient is different and that they respond very differently to treatments. I tailor a specific plan of action to meet your needs and unique medical and physical condition. Finding a chiropractor who understands changing health care needs and the most current techniques and approaches to addressing health problems can be an daunting task. Dr. Thomas DiFusco is a 1993 cum laude graduate of New York Chiropractic College, and a 1989 graduate of St. John’s University, with a B.S. degree in Biology. While at NYCC, Dr. DiFusco was an inducted member of the Phi Chi Omega Scholastic Honor Society, and at St. John's, an inducted member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. Dr. DiFusco has completed advanced training in functional blood chemistry analysis, functional endocrinology and neurotransmitters/brain. Dr. DiFusco is a certified nutritional consultant through the American Association of Nutritional Consultants and also a certified health coach with Take Shape For Life. Dr. DiFusco specializes in the treatment of chronic neck pain, back pain, and headaches, as well as functional nutrition and weight loss. He stays current on the latest techniques through continuing education ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced chiropractic and nutritional care.
