- Dr. Thomas received his undergraduate degree with highest honors from the University of Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan School of Medicine with distinction. He completed his Surgical Internship at Northwestern University in Chicago. He returned to Ann Arbor for a residency in Pathology. Dr. Thomas continued his residency training at the University of Cincinnati in the Neurological Surgery program. He was appointed Clinical Instructor- Section of Neurosurgery at the University of Michigan.
