What is this?
Dr. Katie Jordan, OTD, OTR/L, Los Angeles, CA, 90033
After obtaining her OTD, Katie went on to become the Director of the USC Occupational Therapy Faculty Practice. She utilized her skills as a Lifestyle Redesign® specialist with clients in the Weight Management program and in Executive Health.
Katie has more recently taken on the role of Associate Chair of OT Clinical Service in the Division and the role of Director of OT and Speech Therapy services at USC University Hospital and the USC Norris Cancer Hospital. Drawing upon her leadership experience in acute rehabilitation in Texas and her previously established expertise in Lifestyle Redesign® at the USC OT Faculty Practice, Katie is working diligently to integrate, support, and expand all OT services on all USC campuses.
The USC Occupational Therapy Faculty Practice (OTFP) offers a variety of programs in Lifestyle Redesign®, an innovative, cutting edge approach developed by the USC Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy (Ranked #1 OT School in 8 of last 10 years). Based on clinical trial research, Lifestyle Redesign® is the process of acquiring health-promoting habits and routines in daily life (Clark et. al, 1997). Occupational therapy looks at how clients “occupy” their time, and how daily activities affect health, wellness, recovery, and life satisfaction. The OTFP has developed a Lifestyle Redesign® program specifically aimed to assist patients suffering with back pain or other ailments associated with spine.
Dr. Katie Jordan is a Doctor of Occupational Therapy with USC Neurosurgical Spine Institute.
