Dr. Jones is a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon with more than 17 years of experience performing complex neck and back surgeries, including many high-profile cases in the Bay Area with the San Francisco 49ers, Cal and Stanford athletes, as well as members of the San Francisco Symphony. He strives for excellence by offering a comprehensive, compassionate and individualized assessment and treatment recommendations for a wide spectrum of spinal disorders. His objective is to achieve the best outcome for each patient, whether treatment involves surgery or conservative care.

Dr. Jones has the distinction of being the first spine surgeon in private practice in San Francisco to perform lateral mass screws for posterior cervical fusions, first at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital to perform percutaneous and endoscopic pedicle screw fixation for posterior lumbar fusions, video-assisted thorascopic thoracic fusions and use of the "Infuse BMP Collagen Sponges" as bone graft substitutes to enhance spinal fusion results. Other pioneering procedures include balloon kyphoplasty for treatment of vertebral compression fractures due to osteoporosis or cancer, minimally invasive procedures and complex reconstructive surgery. Dr. Jones is trained and certified in Artificial Disc Replacement surgery. He has served as team physician for U.C. Berkeley since 1995 and has lectured nationally on spine surgeries and treatments.
