University Spine Associates is a spine surgery practice which is designed to provide world class spinal care to patients in the greater Princeton area and throughout New Jersey. While some clinicians treat spinal conditions as part of their general orthopaedic or neurosurgical practices, our practice is dedicated to the treatment of spinal conditions only. By devoting my full attention to the study and practice of spinal surgery, I have been fortunate enough to be trained by national and international authorities in the field of spine surgery in the United States and abroad. Over the years, I have been a frequent lecturer and instructor on various spinal surgical techniques including artificial disc replacement, minimally invasive spine surgery and scoliosis. In addition, I continue to author articles and book chapters on various spinal conditions for several publications. These opportunities and experiences helped me define my goals as a spine surgeon.

My greatest professional satisfaction is and has always been patient care. Being able to translate my life long pursuit of excellence in spine surgery into helping my patients with their disabling conditions is the most gratifying part of my career.

I am extremely excited about the opening of my solo practice, University Spine Associates, PA. I am very fortunate to have collaborated with a network of top trained physicians and health care providers whose sole expertise is caring for spine patients. By working closely with other fellowship trained spine surgeons, pain management specialists and physical therapists, our practice offers unrivaled care for patients with back and neck disorders.

My practice is divided into elective and non-elective spinal conditions. Half of my time is devoted to treating patients with complex non-elective spinal tumor and trauma conditions. I spend a significant part of my time in the operating room at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey treating patients with spinal cord injuries as a result of motor vehicle accidents and with patients who have metastatic tumor involvement in their spine. I also spend time in the operating room in the Spine Institute of New York at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City with complex reconstruction for adult and adolescent scoliosis. The opening of my solo practice, University Spine Associates, PA, will allow me to expand my services to the treatment of elective spinal conditions. We have created an unparalleled office environment and strive daily to provide excellent service to our patients who generally come from New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia. Patients with conditions such as a herniated disc, lumbar stenosis, spondylolisthesis, myelopathy, scoliosis, and many other conditions that cause back and neck pain now have access to world class treatment in a beautiful setting right here in the Princeton area. I have worked closely with the University Medical Center at Princeton as well as Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick to perfect the capabilities of the operating rooms, nursing care and post operative rehabilitation facilities for my patients undergoing spine surgery.

One of the unique aspects of my practice, in today's medical world, is that I take pleasure in being able to spend time with my patients, to educate them about their condition, go over their X-rays and MRIs and go over their surgical and non-surgical options in detail.

I invite you to tour my website, learn about your condition through our excellent resources and animations and come visit us if you feel your condition has significantly affected your quality of life.
