Louis G. Jenis, M.D., received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Jenis completed a general surgical internship and an orthopedic surgery research fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center Department of Surgery. He also completed a fellowship in reconstructive spine surgery at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. In 2000 Dr, Jenis was awarded the North American Spine Society Clinical traveling Fellowship and was also awarded the American Orthopedic Association/Japanese Orthopedic Association Traveling Fellowship in 2004. He was selected for the 2009- 2010 Leadership Fellows Program by American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Jenis is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the Cervical Spine Research Society, The North American Spine Society, International Society for the Study of The Lumbar Spine, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Medical Association, American Orthopaedic Association, and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
