Dr. Eugene Bulkin, MD, New York, NY, 10003

Dr. Bulkin is the pain specialist whose areas of interest encompass non-surgical interventions for treatment of spine conditions.

After completing his surgical internship at New York Hospital of Queens, he joined Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation at New York University where he completed residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He then completed his fellowship training at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. He received extensive training in non-surgical management of acute and chronic spine and musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr. Bulkin joined The Spine Institute of New York as an attending specializing in interventional management of spine conditions. Dr. Bulkin favors comprehensive approach to back and neck pain, which ranges from pharmacological management to minimally invasive fluoroscopically guided spinal procedures (epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, discography, radiofrequency neurotomy and joint injections).

His clinical goal is aimed at restoring physical function by developing individualized treatment plans and working closely with all members of the spine care team. He is proficient in electrophysiological diagnostic studies (EMG) of musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr. Bulkin is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Additionally, he is an active member of various societies including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the International Spine Intervention Society.
