Dr. Michel L. Gevaert, MD, Anchorage, AK, 99508
Dr Michel Gevaert was born in Belgium and earned his medical doctorate at the University of Leuven in Belgium. He completed an internship at the University Of Pennsylvania Medical School. He moved on to complete his residency at the University of Pennsylvania of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and continued his advanced training with fellowships in Electromyography and spine rehabilitation.
Dr. Gevaert was an assistant professor at the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pennsylvania. He specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of back and neck pain, and has published several articles and abstracts in peer reviewed journals.
The Alaska Spine Institute (ASI) is the only facility in the state of Alaska with a primary focus on diagnosis and treatment of spinal care, pain management, and neuromuscular rehabilitation, all integrated under one roof. Our facility includes a doctor's office, diagnostic facility including comprehensive imaging services, surgery center, and physical therapy and rehabilitation treatment center. ASI has the ability to provide fast, comprehensive, and top-of-the-line medical care to the community of Anchorage and the state of Alaska.
