USC Neurosurgical Spine Institute: Spine Center in Los Angeles

The USC Neurosurgical Spine Institute’s mission is “to restore function and reduce or eliminate pain experienced by patients with back pain. We treat patients holistically addressing the mind, body and spirit through a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team of specialists.” Our physicians at the Institute treat a full range diagnoses that cause pain and disability, including vascular disorders (AVM), degenerative disease, spine deformity, spine tumor, spine infection, and spinal cord injury. The Institute offers comprehensive care including diagnoses, interventional pain treatments, psychological counseling, physical and occupational therapy, surgical reconstruction, minimally invasive surgical procedures, spine stabilization and fusion and artificial disc replacement. The spine specialists are also dedicated to developing new techniques and instrumentation for spine surgery, including participation in several clinical trials. This research is the future for effective approaches to alleviate spine and back pain for our patients.

Unique to the Institute is true comprehensive coordinated care. Services are provided in one convenient location. Physician office visits, state-of-the-art X-rays and MRI imaging, physical therapy, postoperative rehabilitation and surgery are all centralized at the Institute for patient convenience and ease of treatment. New patients are evaluated by a team of specialists in order to determine an appropriate course of treatment. USC currently employs specialists that are nationally recognized in neurosurgery and pain management. We provide patients with the latest, most innovative, most effective medical and surgical treatments available for back problems. The Institute brings that expertise together in a central location that greatly improves coordination of care.
