Hi Ann,
I'm sorry to hear about your arthritis. Are you getting any sleep? It sounds like it is time to go ask a Dr. Are you taking any medication for the arthritis? A little ibuprofen helps me on bad days. Sometimes it feels like every joint I have is a little swollen. Exercise can help too. Is your hip pain all over or in just one spot?
I hope you find relief soon.
A few years ago I had pain in my left hip. I have been diagnosed with severe OA several years ago and have had a few spinal surgeries. My rheumatologist
examined the range of motion in my hip and followed up with some x-rays.
My hip joint is just fine, the problem originates in my lower spine.
See a rheumatologist, have it checked out, and get your answers.

Is your hip/pelvic pain more severe when you walk? Are there any exercises that help? I have had hip/pelvic pain for some months - before and after surgery - and have consulted many people about it. Tell us a bit more about your pain.

I can share my personal experiences but cannot give medical advice.
I have similar problems and I get woken up if I lay on my left side because it feels like my hip joint is bone on bone. A back specialist told me I have bursitis and injected cortisone.
