Hi all,
Had my app with the surgeon yesterday. Bit of background:
Back pain for many years, concidering i'm only 25. I had a protrusion that was pressing on my nerve and had numness and pain in my left bum, thigh etc.
Had a microdiscectomy in Jan 2010 and have not had any relief
I had another MRI and saw him yesterday.
He said that the nerve has been relieved and that he does not feel i need more surgery. The discs are still bulging but nothing major. Some scar tissue etc and it can take a long time to heal.
I am now so confused. I am being re-ferred to a pain management clinic but am soo fed up. I was certain something was wrong but now I feel like I will have to live in pain forever.
I lost my job 2 months ago due to sickness but will now just have to find a job eventhough I do suffer a lot.
Anyone from the UK have any advice?
