Bleeding of Thyroid during ACDF c6/7
I have my surgery done on Wednesday and my doc said my surgery was complicated by bleeding from my thyroid which is enlarged due to Hashimotos.
Has anyone else had this complication and should I be concerned?

I had no complications in my surgery, but I know after my acdf, I had thyroid issues, immediately after, though it took my PCP three months to figure out why I was so out of energy,and couldn't stay awake,,,,,

My surgeon said that my surgery went great but I could have had a lot of bleeding due to thyroid? He didn't say, but do keep an eye on how you feel after. He did say he had to scrape out a lot of arthritis and was sad because I am so young. I hope he got it all because it hurts! Anyway good luck and try not to worry.

Waiting at a light one night and a drunk driver slammed into the back of my car. She has changed my life. I'm left with two herninated disks at C4 and C5 and limp from the accident. My daughter fractured her arm. I was trying to finish my masters and I feel like she took my life from me. Docs say from this I have arthritis and DDD. It's not getting better and seems to be worse as time does by.
