You know you are a "Spiney" when.....
You know you are a spiney when:-
- a productive day is having a shower and putting clean pyjamas on.
- You clear a shelf in the fridge and a space in the freezer, before going shopping as you know you`ll need to lay down a while, immediately after coming home from grocery shopping.(dump it in and organize later method)
- You back in to a parking space on arrival as you know you`ll be too tired and painful to back out after your errands later
- You look forward to mealtime , not because you have any appetite but because it means its meds time soon.
- You have spent the whole day cleaning, and only managed one room .
- Your spouses dog is now your faithful shadow.
- You have been out on an errand with pjs on under your clothes
- You have `Spine Health .com ` at the top of your favourites list on your pc
- You have corrected a doctor about your spine diagnosis at least once ( and been quite correct )
- Getting up , washed, dressed,and making the bed is your morning excersize
- You prepare the vegetables for the evening meal in the morning
- Playing patience on the pc, whilst chatting to your mum on the phone is now classified as "multi-tasking"
- Your meds cabinet contains more than a small pharmacy

3/ALIF done 29 dec 2011 .at 4 months most of the surgical pain has gone but the right hand side lower back ache {the problems i have had for many years is as bad as ever } i feel like i will never get better my mobility is a lot worse too ...

L4 L5 disc replacement in 2004=causing nerve damage'Flexicore disc. 2006 fusion same level leaving adr in. Fusion did nothing to releive the nerve pain.Pain clinic=every injection procedure avalable inc,razadamy, ablation, nerve stimulater trial,morphine pump trial all failed. Pain can be described as burning pain in lower spine penetrating in to left buttock,down left leg. Refuse to take lyrica or nuorontin do to its side effect,Leaving me with norco,valume,and flexiril at night.Which these medications only help with the muscle aches and stiffnes does nothing for the nerve pain from the nerve damage sustained from the adr surgery.Coming up nov.19th 2009 Lami, and hardware removal from fusion,for hardware just causing more pain in other areas.Hardware block comfirmed hardware is also causing pain in diferent area aside from the severe nerve pain on left side.Emg showed some posible problem above surgery are at L3 L4.

Took long enough to put them on as it was having to bend and who will ever know,

Do guys actually use the hole in the front of your underwear or do they just pull 'em down like us chicks . Just curious .... Seems too hazardous to be in a male pointed scenario with it open. Sorry Alex , the thought of you putting on under-Roos made think..... Lol

I know what y'all are talking about. Well, except going to the grocery store or any kind of shopping or sex lately. I haven't had my condition near as long as some of you, but I know and have done much of the same.

You know you're a spiney when...
being stabbed in the neck with needles could eventually turn into somewhat of a positive thing, and you look forward to it.
You skip the ham sandwich and just go with the meds
Sex is something you fear more than getting stabbed in the neck with needles
lol
You continually check to make sure your fent patch doesn't come off during sex!
You know you're a spiney when the only time you get out of the house is for a doctor appointment.
You know you're a spiney when your husband sleeps in the other room because your tossing, turning, moaning, and groaning keeps him awake too much.
You know you're a spiney when you never sleep more than 1-2 hours consecutively.
You know you're a spiney when your pain doctor asks you what meds you need this month.
You know you're a spiney when you quit doing hobbies because it takes everything you can do to make it through the day while doing absolutely nothing.
