Anyone experienced w/Yoga

Do any of you have experience w/yoga for maintence and pain relief? I know there are different schools or types of yoga. Bending forward is a problem for me. More arthritic problems than nerve pain.My NS gives little advice or guidance on these matters.

Thanks for any advice.
