I myself suffer horribly as I read that many here do with differences in the barometric pressure.
Is there any known treatments/remedies or such that is known to help during these times?
I have thought of getting a barometric pressure reading gage but then thought if it only tells me I hurt then there is no sense in that, as I already know that lol
However if there is something I can do ahead of time or in the midst of a barometric pressure change then that would be helpful to me and so many others

I get migraines when pressures change, and I agree it's frustrating! They don't seem to bother my back, though.
11/2007- equestrian accident. Fractured L2, 90% loss of height, retropulsion, bone fragments. Moderate-severe chronic pain treated with epidurals, facet ablation, medication.
12/15/2010- L2 corpectomy and L1-L3 fusion via thoracotomy. Posterior plates installed next day. Total surgery time 9 hours!
I don't believe there is, other than possible "folk" remedies. Actually there is no scientific proof that a change in barometric pressure affects the body, although most of us would disagree! But if you search for medical studies, you will see that they have not been able to prove the connection.
Some people think it is because the synnovial joints have fluid to lubricate, which is affected by the changes in pressure. Another interesting thing is that the body makes adjustments. If you live in a changeable climate, then, for example, you might be affected when the weather is very damp for a number of days, and then feel better when it dries off. But if you lived in a climate where damp was the norm, your body would adjust and you would not notice fluctuations.
If you have bad arthritis and feel that living in a dry climate like Arizona will help, it does...but only temporarily. You will feel much better initially, but then after the body acclimates, the positive benefits will not be as noticeable.
I have no medical training. Comments are based on personal experience and lots of research and reading.

Don't hurt yourself! You don't spell check posts do you? I never do. I use Firefox and it spell checks as I type. I then hit post and do nothing till it comes up as a post. THEN, I will do a quick read, if I screwed it up, I edit it. Once it is a post, you can edit it and if you lose it, it should stay posted in the unedited edition to try again.
I don't ever preview or spell check. Once you leave this little box you are at the webs mercy Bwah-ha-ha-ha....

I know barometric affects the temperature inside an isolette baby incubators at the hospital. I used to get migraines from a change in barometric pressure but I haven't had one for 2 years yay! I know I feel worse when it's damp outside but not sure about the pressure changes. I hope you're feeling better soon. Off to the Dr. I have to run! Subway one hour across town not fun. TC Charry

I live In Pa. and oh boy the weather goes nuts all the time here. Today it went up to 67 and tonight it is suppose to snow ! My joints feel ALL of it.
I did know that the "medical world" did not agree with this thought, as I was told as much by my PT. However he did say that all of his patients with arthritis totally disagree.
