i have 2 major chronic pain issues. back in the 90s, i had 2 failed back surgeries. for many years it was relatively easy to get treatment. in 06 i was diagnosed with ipmn cysts on my pancreas (a pre cancer) which lead to chronic pancreatitis. i did find a dr to treat my back pain but the meds he gave me didn't help cp pain. i was recently rushed to er for severe abdominal pain, as given only enough mes. while in hospital, nothing for home. i told my dr. about this and he dropped me as a patient. i live in ma. anyone else with similar pain. lynus
Are you saying that you don't currently have any doctor treating you?
So if someone asked you today, what your chief complaint is, which would it be, the failed back surgery symptoms or the chronic pancreatitus? The reason I ask, is that it is important to focus your efforts in addressing you main issue.
Do you have a general practitioner that you can see?

i don't understand. why did he drop you as a patient? you hinted that when you asked for meds, he dropped you. that does not make any sense. doctors don't drop patients because they ask for meds. what else happened that made him drop you? My dr will drop patients if they get pain meds from another doctor, lie about problems, change prescriptions, take too much meds and not follow his dosage. also most pain doctors have patients sign a pain contract. did you sign one and if you did, did you stick to the law of the contract?
