Hi Tony....

Yes Tony, morphine dries my mouth out , even dries my tongue out so bad it feels like a slab of wood!
There nare a lot of medications that can cause your mouth to dry out.

Hope this helps.

Instead of feeling regret for having your operation, try looking at it as a risk you took in order to better your situation. If you hadn't done it, you would have always wondered "what if" and had regrets for not trying to do everything possible. We all make decisions, some good, some bad, but they are our decisions. Regardless of the outcome we did the right thing by making a decision and standing by it, even when in hindsight it might not have been what we feel was the right decision. At some point we have to gather ourselves together and press ahead, making the most out of what we have. If we constantly wallow in regret then we will get no where real fast.

Your body needs your mental and emotional energy to help it heal. Try and take things a day or a moment at a time. You've made it this far, you can make it! You will make it.

I had to have numerous revisions and cried several times wondering if I would ever get off the surgical merri-go-round. My NS never gave up and helped me to not give up. Now I am on the other side looking back and amazed that it all worked. At the time it was pretty dark and I never knew when or if it would ever get better. So just keep trudging each day. It can work.
