old fracture in back getting worse?

Hi,
I was in a car accident 22 years ago and (lukcly) walked away with only a compressed fracture in lumbar spine. I wore a brace for a while but healed. The last 5 years I have been having pain in lower back that radiates down into hip and left leg to foot. Also going in right area. Pain is becoming constant. (started just when I try to sleep) Now any time I sit for just a few minutes and it starts. Could my old fracture be causing me problems now again? Pain is like a vise grip on hips. Took a MRI today but will not know anything for a few days. Any ideas or suggestions on coping with the pain or therapy I could try would be appreciated. I did try laser and ultrasound. Not much help.
Thank you!

It happens many a time that your childhood or young age injuries and surgeries creates trouble in your old age..The only advice I can recommend you is consult a good Orthopaedician as soon as possible.
