Ok so I'm a 28 year old male, I recently, about a week ago, had a fall on my snowboard, landed a rail pretty hard on my feet, but didnt absolrb much of the impact. i felt a sharp pain in my lower back. I have had some lower back pains for quite a few years now. Ive never had it like this though, as it doesnt hurt too much, but the muscles on the left side of lower back are so tight, and my pelvis is slanted, and my posture is leaning to one side since the fall.i think one leg is shorter than the other too, but i suppose that goes with the slanted pelvis.
Its got alot better the past week, but my body is still leaning to the right. im seeing a chiro at the moment, he doesnt seem too shocked with it or anything, but im wondering if this slanty posture is going to sort itself out, or if im stuck like this
it feels really weird to walk, and the longer i walk, the tighter my muscles get in my back on the left side. I suppose this posture change is my body preventing me damaging a part of my spine by limiting its movement in that area, but will i go back to normal?
Hope you guys can help, and look forward to reading youre responses. Thanks
Adam
I hope you feel better soon Adam. We're not doctors so I advise you to see your primary care doctor or an orthopedic doctor. It's hard to say what it might be - muscle pull, deep bruising...not sure. I wouldn't think it's scoliosis because I understand that's a curvature in the spine that you might be born with or it develops over time. I have scoliosis and that's how it was with me.
Your doctor might give you muscle relaxants or send you to PT.
Good luck.

Why not see your Family Dr.? My Chiropractor only used inferential and ultrasound treatments and does no adjustments. See your Dr. he will help and order maybe anti-inflammatory and x-ray and will let you know if it's okay to see a Chiropractor. Take care. Charry

Hi guys, thanks for your replies
I have a doctor appointment in about an hour, hopefully he can tell me more about what the problem is. I have straightened out over the week since the fall, but am still kinda leaning sideways, and my body feels un-even. hopefully this isnt permanent and i can get back on my board, but guess il have to wait and see what the doc says. Thanks alot for your replies, I will post up the doctors findings when i get back
Much appreciated!
Adam
