Sounds like you're definitely facing challenges in your home right now -- Just do what you can every day and let the rest fall to the wayside. It's very tough for both of you to be suffering. I hope you have some family or friends that can give you a little help when needed.
I don't remember what your husbands issues are but you say he hasn't had an MRI yet. I'd press for one with the doctor if you think that will help diagnose the issue and get him a plan of action to get him out of pain.
Please feel free to vent to us here anytime. Always here to offer moral support. Sending you a few
to watch over you while things are rough.
Take care,
Judy
2010 Update: Sciatica resolved itself but still dealing with fibromyalgia symptoms that come and go. Walking 3 miles a day, fibro permitting.
2011 Update: Back to work since June.
Herniated disk (L5) no surgeries to date, super nasty nerve pain, left leg. 3 epidurals (Jan, Feb 09) (Short term relief) June 09, Second opinion from Ortho doc with new MRI -- not a surgery candidate -- referred to pain management doctor.
thanks for your reply he as ddd and norrowing at L5-S1
Did the Dr guess at what is wrong with him? I don't understand how he knows what it wrong with no MRI?
Is he under any type of pain management?
If not or if it is not working at all - it may be time to look for a new Dr. - just my thoughts

the dr took a xray at the hosptil and our own dr told my husband that he could see this on the xray
but it like the pain is getting bad every day he has
pain tablets that he takes as well but thats about it
we have been trying for 18 months for a mri as i think that the disks are getting worse i hope you can understand my spelling
hi!!
an x-ray can give only a very limited picture of what is going on in the back and neck areas. an MRI is really needed to give an accurate diagnosis and then a treatment plan...
please be very careful so neither of you hurts yourself anymore. good luck to you both and keep us informed.
Jenny
be impeccable with your word..
the problem we have is dave also as panic attacks and cant go into any buildings as it sets off his panic so we are trying to get help with this as well the only way i can get him to see a doc at the momant is by waiting for the doc to see the last person and then get him in there through the back door
