Having a really bad day

After 10 solid months of being in pain, I really thought things couldn't get worse. Only now that I think my disc has gone again it has gotten worse. Grr I'm back to walking with a cane and have really bad numbness in my leg again. Plus the pain medication I have does nothing.

I'm so worried about the future. In some ways I hope the surgeon suggests a fusion when I see him next week, in others I'm scared witless. I can't do with all this right now: my dad is really ill with cancer (and a 13 hour flight away) so trying to be there for him is not working out that great, plus my 8 year old is being assessed for help at school - he is autistic and the council is making us fight all the way, not to mention the regular 8hour+ battles we have to get him to do his homework.

I know I have to deal with it, but I just needed a little vent.

Vent away

It helps to let it out every now and then. You certainly have a lot on your plate right now. It is sad when we wish for a fusion. I tried searching for alternatives, but the bottom line was I couldn't bear the pain any longer and grabbed for it. I can tell you that life after fusion is not wonderful. It's better, but it takes some adjusting.

All the best to you. Keep on truckin'

Linda
