Weight loss after surgery

Hey guys,

My name is Stephanie - I am 20 years old and just had spinal fusion surgery 2 weeks ago. I have been suffering from severe back pain for a year and gained about 10-15lbs as a result of the lack of exercise and pain meds. I am looking for advice on how to loose the weight I gained. I will not be able to exercise much, besides taking short walks. So far I have been drinking lots of water and eating fairly well balanced meals.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

-Stephanie

weight loss

Hey Steph,

Wow,fused @ 20 yrs old. I'm about 7 months out of total disc replacemnt. I also gained weigh but slowly have worked it off. give yourself some time to heal. Do what you can today, and take joy in the progress over time.

James

a few little things

ISO Whey protein with added vitamins.
Drink Green tea several times a day.

leafy green salad foods and Veggie soups.
Only eat when Hungry.
No sugary or too high carb meals.

Walking several times a day for whatever feels best. I use to feel a little pain coming on or get this urge to go home and would stop my walk. I just made sure I walked close to the house like around a few blocks.

Gook Luck with it and remember healing time is resting time too.
