Well, just got back and I can't help feel irritated and happy at the same time. I didn't get really any word in with the doctor, at all....made me a little frustrated. However, he asked me simple questions, and did these tests on me that aggravated my back like hell. He goes, well, there is no way that your thoracic herniation is causing the pain that you are telling me that you have and the tests that I performed are showing that you have a lumbar disk herniation. WHAT?! Not once in the 2 years since my accident have I had an x-ray or MRI done of my lower back. I am very angry. It's also been 2 years since my last MRI, so I have to have a new thoracic and lumbar MRI done to see what's going on. I am slightly happy though because he has me set up for these MRIs and back to his office. I have so much difficulty with my case because of Florida No Fault and having no health coverage. I wish though this could have all been done in one day, since I had to miss work. Now I have to miss 2 more days! Why me?

  • Everybody on this site asks the same question."Why me?"
I say we blame Mother Nature for doing a sloppy job.It would be better for you to know what's going on with the L-spine.Two days off work is nothing.I am sure you deserve a break anyway.
I've been off for more than 8 months.Going insane. :D
Hope you feel better, and let us know how it goes.

    Cheers,G.
  • Like you said, he set it up for you so that it is covered and you don't have to fight for it. It will be good to get and updated MRI on your T-spine and definitely if he thinks you have an L-spine herniation you need to get an image series of that. 2 more days off work to get answers is definitely worth it.

Glad your visit went so well.

  • Thanks very much. It prob explains all of the stomach pains and cramping I have been having and the horrible 'female' moments that come around...ugh
