Hi all, I am a 37 year old with signficant DDD at L5/S1 and am now contemplating surgery. Options are Disc Replacement, Anterior Fusion, Posterior Fusion and the Axialif procedure whereby they go up inside the tail bone and fuse the L5/S1. I would love to hear from anyone who has had the Axialif procedure and how they have gone with it and why they took that option rather than any other. Many thanks in advance.

  • Hi Mark,I had this procedure done on 11 March 2009. I am not sure if you are still interested, but if you are I am happy to let you know what helped me decide. I had severe DDD at the same level as you, and similar options were suggested!
