7 wks post op perm SCS pin prick pain under incision?

HI,

I am 7 wks post op for the Perm SCS, this past Sat while laying down, I sort of twisted to pick up my puppy, when I did that I felt a sharp pick at the incision site, it has been there ever since, (today is Tues) I can not feel anything protruding, but is painful to the touch. Almost feels like there is a pin or wire on the inside that is sticking into my skin, sounds strange, I know! I have a call into the DR, just wondering if anyone else has had anything similar? I feel like the DR is going to think I am crazy since you can not feel anything from the outside.
Anyone have anything like this?

Thanks for your help & take care!

  • Jeni,

You're not crazy. Is this at the lead incision site or the battery?

I've had that happen a couple of times at the lead incision site and then it just disappeared. So I figured unless things started working poorly or it came back and remained constant, that I wouldn't worry about it.

So I am very curious as to what the DR has to say to you.

  • It is at the lead site, has been there since Saturday, so I am a little concerned. I will let you know what the Dr says, thank you for confirming that I am not crazy, not yet anyway, #:S
