Hey all,
My first time in here and hope everybody is well.

I had severe back pain one year ago and MRI showed i have discal saciatic L4 and L5 and took me about 2 months to recover.
After six month a strong tension started down along of my left leg abd bud with numing in my two small toes i visited our sergeon who gave me big dosage of Predicore prednisone 10 mg
the pain went down graduadally but now after 3 month i still have some pain on my leg and with Prednisone can't seem to kill the pain completely. Is there anything for this nerve pain!! Any advise what to do next?
thanks for any help

  • Welcome to Spine Health. Did your doc recommend any physical therapy for you along with the rest of his treatment? I find that the "tension" you describe, I can stretch it out and release the tension and feel 100% better.

    PS love your username

  • I have L4/L5 sciatica also. I had surgery but the pain has returned though not as intense as before but it's back to say hello. pain runs down my left leg and into my foot. it's anywhere from burning/pins and needles to sharp electric feeling. I take zanaflex just a muscle relaxer but sometimes at least helps me to sleep at night.

I hope you have find releif soon.

  • My doctor did not advise of any therapy when i asked him so i am going to visit the number 2 sergeon in town and see what he will say(it takes like 3 or 4 weeks before i could meet him)
many people already advised to start therapy so i will do it.
When in pain I sometimes use Zaldiar it kills my pain for the whole day or I walk for about 2 miles and do some slight excersie like stretching legs and so and nerve pain is down.
I will share what comes up with me
    ..best
