I received conflicting diagnosis from my orthopedic physician vs the radiologist. one is saying I have ddd and the other a hemangioma (tumor) on my spine. I am not sure who to believe - any sugesstions about who to get a second opinion from?

  • I have DDD, along with other conditions that I had a fusion for. The L5-S1 is severly degenerated and I had a disc bulge that was pressing against the nerve.
I do have an L3 benign hemangioma. The doctor was skeptical about it when looking at the films before surgery. They did find it during the operation and decided to leave it alone, in fear of making things worse. You can have multiple things going on at the same time, and it's no fun.
I hope you get to feeling better. Take care
