Hi everyone I am hoping someone can help me I am a 28 year old mother of 2 and I am in terrible pain everyday.
I was in an auto accident about 8 years ago and had some pain in my neck and lower back ,that I could live with taking mild pain killers but a little over 2 years ago I had a c-section and had to have a spinal block preformed 6 or 7 attempts it was very difficult finally the head anesth. was called in and it was placed ,my life has been horribly changed from that day on ,my legs butt and feet would go numb for 10 min. at a time ,many times I have fallen on my face and couldn't move until it would go away, couldn't hardly lift anything and my back pain is to the point of tears many days ,I have had a few doctors in West Virginia (where I live) tell me that a spinal couldn't have harmed me but something happened.I have had some x-rays taken and wanting to know if anyone could explain what the reults are:

in 2003 I also had an xray of my neck and it was the same revesal of the cervical curvature

IMPRESSION- 2008

Reversal of the cervical curvature only suggesting muscle spasm.

IMPRESSION-

Degenerative changes at T11-T12 and T12-L1 levels with narrowing in disc

LUMBAR SPINE, FIV POSITIONS-

No acute fracture, misalignment, or primary spinal stenosis.
Slightly narrow posterior L5-S1 disc space. Patent SI

  • in the medical field so I really can not explain the results to you but I did want to welcome you to the forum. Have you had an MRI done? The fact that it took the head anesthesiologist to do the spinal on you sounds fishy to me. I do not believe that there is no chance that something was damaged during the procedure. It seems that all it would take is to accidentally damage a nerve. I think that you would be hard pressed to find another doc that would say that it was possible. You know how they like to stick together on things. I am so sorry to hear of your suffering and hope that you get some answers and relief soon. Please keep us posted.
  • :) hi and welcome to the forum! :H we are here to offer you support and answer what questions we can. i do read of your desperation for help. i read of your fright and even anger over what is happpening to you. :T it can be a long road to a diagnosis. please don't give up. have a doctor read your x-ray and give you his advice. he may ask for further tests to find out what is wrong. please know you are not alone in your suffering. good luck and please keep us posted as you progress! Jenny :)
  • ordered the tests? Whatever doc you are seeing would be better at reading the x-rays. We are just here to share our experience and hope. Glad you found us and hope you find some relief.
  • and welcome to the forum. You will find so much support and understanding from our amazing members here. Have you seen the doctor that ordered the x-rays since getting the results back? If so , then what has been said.....if not , then you might want to do that. The doctor would be the one to point you in the right direction as far as what your next step should be. Please keep us posted as to what you find out. If there is ever anything that I can do for you then please just let me know. Take care....Miki
