My PM doc gave me some free samples of this med. I was taking diclofenac 50mg 3x per day where arthorotec is 75mg 2x per day combined with misoprostol to protect the stomach. I feel I may be getting more help with this drug probably due to the dosage and less stomach upset. I take this mainly for the facet problem in my neck and overall joint pain. Does anyone have any experience with drug? I have not checked on RX prices, was just wondering if it was any more effective and worth the cost compared to generic diclofenac[voltaren]? Thanks....Mike

  • I was on this drug for about 2 weeks and had to stop because it was tearing my stomach up. I think the stomach protection actually made it worse for some odd reason. I did some research on the misoprostol and found it is used to induce miscarriage in some countries. I have heard Arthrotec is somewhat pricey.
  • in that eventually it all just tears up my gut. :(

Some here find they can tolerate the C0X 2's better, I could for awhile. But maybe you've tried Cox's.

Good luck and hope you and your docs find something that works well for ya. I have bone spurs too ..bummer. :(
