Hi I am new here and I have recently been diagnosed with Spondylosis and given options (too many to know which is best) My orthopedic spine doctor gave me options and I have slept even less now trying to come to a decision.

1) surgery ( had a friend give me a horror story of how hers went wrong and another was paralysed, looked for positive outcomes not very many).

2) continue Physical therapy (no relief so far still wake in the middle of the night with sever pain, I believe a pair of sissors to the eye would be less painful, don't worry not that desparate yet).

3) Steroid injections (horrified one wrong move, i'm paralysed, or gain more weight can not afford that I'm type 2 diabetic need to lose weight)

4) continue the valium and vicodin until I have more bad days then good and then do the surgery. 8}

a side from waking up in pain each night I now wake up from nightmares of this all going wrong, I am trying to make an educated decision, my husband says do the surgery and get it over with (this ain't a walk in the park for me) my aunt says take the steroid injections ( I sneeze during the injection I'm paralyzed), my mother says research (I have and still have no clue what to do) my friend says pray (I have and still no clearity as what to do)I just want pain relief and if there is an alternative to any of these a natural rememdy I would love to know and try it, or some kind of comforting suggestions would be welcome. :/ ~X(
