scar tissue

Have developed scar tissue as a result of surgery. Can this be taken care of with another operation, or will it just get worse after another operation. I know the doctor should be addressing these questions for me, but my surgeon is an indian fellow who is extremely hard to understand. He is very knowledgeable and I have 100% trust in him and his procedures. He is an orthopedic surgeon and I am probaly going to have another operation. He has fused c4-5, and now wants to go back and do c6-7. The first operation he used bone from the bone bank, and this next one he is talking about using my own bone from my hip. I am more worried about the scar tissue issues though. Does anyone have any information about scar tissue issues?
