Hi all,
I finally went for the neurosurgeon appt. last Friday. He said I might possibly be able to get by with just a laminotomy rather than a laminectomy. He did not see any spondylolisthesis. The PM doc did not see the spondy either. He also said that my ortho doctor could have just figured that with all my issues that I had spondy too and a fusion would also be needed. He also said that sometimes ortho doctors do the laminectomy and fusion at the same time just in case it might be needed in the future. That way they don't have to go back in and do it at a later date.

Needless to say, I am going with the neuro doc and hope he is right. He has ordered a new MRI for Jan. 30th to make sure there have not been any drastic changes since my April MRI and what he proposes to do is the only thing needed. I see him Jan. 2nd to review the MRI findings and will probably schedule my surgery at that time. I'll let you all know.

I hope everyone is pain free for the Holidays.
