Well I had my pre-op appointment with my neurosurgeon this morning and everything seems to be falling into place. He confirmed I am having a Laminectomy Interbody Fusion w/pedicle screws L4/L5. I must say I am pretty calm
and feel really positive about the outcome. I plan on taking a notebook with me to the hospital so I can keep a Post-Op journal to track my progress.
My surgery is at 7:30 so I have to be at the hospital at 6:00 I) . My hospital stay is anywhere from 1-3 days. I will be in a Spine&Back ward so hopefully I will have empathetic nurses. I will have a semi-private room so my hubby will be able to stay the night with me to be a spokesperson for my pain management.
For anyone having surgery I encourage you to think positive and take a list of questions to your surgeon pre-op. Of course I expect to have some jitters the day off, but I honestly feel like I am in excellent hands. I also want to thank all of you on this site. The information on here is so helpful and encouraging. I thank all of you for your support. >:D<
