Sorry I haven't been on here in a while. Scott had his neurologist appt on the 11th. 4 hours long. He saw the neurologist, the dietician, the physical therapist and the psycologist. He said they were all very nice, respectful and gave his all their attention. No feeling rushed like the normal pain mgmnt doctor. He has Physical Terapy 2 times a week of 3 weeks. His first appt for that is next week so I don't know what kind of exercises they will give him.
He definately needs to drink more water and less caffeine (he is pretty much a Mountain Dew only drinker).
The neurologist then did an Occipital Nerve Block - 5 shots on each side of his head (in the back). He said it hurt like you know what but it did help. I even sounded painful. He said the weird part was when the numbing was going away and he said the back of his head felt like gell - like the goopy stuff that pigs feet are packed in - oh yuck - what a visual hey. But so far so good - it's been 2 days - he said the back of his head hurts like it is bruised but that is from the shots going in. He has not had a headache - a little tiny one but doing good so far.
He's been extremely tired - not sure if that is an after effect or not.
His neck has not been too bad either but he is still doing the pain patch and then the percocet about 2-3 times per day.
So that's the update so far.
