HI,
I am 9 days post op, on having my scs batter pack adjusted. it was sticking way out and causing lots of issues, so they went in and did a little move and tuck. But the day after I noticed my right calf was numb. I have since, seen my regular Dr, they did an ultra sound and all was well, I have an appt with my NS tomorrow, just wondering if anyone else has had anything like this? It doesnt hurt at all, it is just numb, like it is totally asleep?
Please let me know if you have experience something like this, I can usually get better answers from this forum than my NS!!!!!!!

Take care!

  • if this is what you are experiencing but, before my surgery and now after I get numbness in my calf, ankle and my left butt cheek has been totally numb for years. So, I think that it could be related. Any chance that you have an impinged nerve?
BTW - My numbness feels just like a chunk has been removed from my calf or ankle when I get this. Feels like it is just not there.
  • You may see which vertebrae would bring on that numbness, and maybe they've compressed a nerve in there??

Search "dermatome" at the top of this page and you should come up with some "maps".

Good luck...nothing like having more trouble after a surgery.... :/
