Foot Drop success stories ???

AnonymousUserAAnonymousUser Posts: 49,900
Hello All,
I've been doing loads of research on my left leg foot drop and weakness after large L5 Herniation. I cannot find any data on successful treatment for foot drop related to disc herniation and would love to hear from anyone who can tell me otherwise.

I met with a Neurosurgeon, and two Orthopedic surgeons but none of them has hany treatment options for me. The disc pain is much better, and that is all they are concerned with.

Anyone out there have this expereince?
Thanks,
Mary

  • But after a discectomy it went away. Have you had any surgery?
  • That's good to hear, I'm glad it worked for you.

No one yet of the three specialitsts I saw recommended surgery partly becasue I am not in any great amount of pain, and because I am overweight, there is an increased risk for complications.

I'm still looking for second opinions as the specialists are in the same large practice, but slightly different specialties.

    Thanks for the reply!
