I am new here. Just trying to reach out and get some guidance. I'm 26 and was diagnosed with a fissured disc and a ruptured disc. Nothing has worked. I've been on pain meds for over a year and I'm so sick of it.

Is there ANYTHING I can do to help the pain without taking narcotics? Stretches? Anything to help me freaking sleep? That's my MAIN problem. I need to SLEEP. X(

  • :) hi and welcome to the forum! :H we are here to offer you support and answer what questions we can. sleep is a problem most all of us have problems with. ~X( i sleep very little at night myself. i get by with naps in the daytime and early evening. I) i spend the nights quietly and do things i can do in bed. i have found that trying so much just made it more difficult. so i joined in, so to say. there is a "Sleep Problems" forum you might want to drop by as well. i do hope you find the right combination of treatments to help you atleast feel rested. I) melatonin and magnesium work well sometimes for me. they are natural supplements and may just put you to sleep. I) good luck as you seek pain relief as well! Jenny :)
  • I need sleeping pills to help me sleep. Maybe you can review your meds with your Dr. Are you on a slow release pain med to help you sleep well overnight? I even take a warm glass of milk and that helps sometimes. Have you got a Pain management Dr? I hope you are painfree soon. Take care. Charry
