Hello Everyone, thanks for taking the time to post. I've been reading some of the threads and finding them very enlightening.
My question is, is the pain I'm feeling typical?
It is at its worst when I am standing still. Sitting is most comfortable, even moving around is ok. I can walk on a treadmill and feel ok, but have me stand in a line to buy something at a store and the pain begins to build until my leg will become numb. Most mornings I wake up with pain in my lower back (maybe I have a crappy mattress). I am surprised that the pain is less as I move around as opposed to standing.
I had been diagnosed with a pars defect resulting in grade 1 spondylolisthesis a little over a year ago. I am considering surgery as the pain over time (5 years) has gotten progressively worse.
