Hi I had surgery on July 10,2008. They did a L5 laminectomy with bilateral L5 foraminotomies, L5-S1 posterior spinal instrumentation, L5-S1 posterolateral fusion, L5-S1 posterior interbody fusion with bilateral fusion cages with rods and screws and bone graft BMP infuse. It's been almost 7 months and I still feel like I have a heavy weight in my lower back. It especially affects me when I lay on my left or right side at night. I also get pins and needles sensations in my lower back and legs. Sometimes they are quite sharp. I'm afraid to do anything anymore. Such as golf, bowling, fishing ect... Well this ever go away? My physical therapist said, he would never golf or bowl again with this type of operation. Any input would be appreciated.
