What's a "normal" dose for Oxycontin?

Long story short...see Chuck's post...I got my Oxycontin dose upped to 40mg twice a day. I'm also on Percoset and Valium. I found out today that you have to have enough food in your stomach when taking so many drugs or the drugs won't absorb. I guess I knew that, but hadn't really thought about it! So I was in unGodly pain until we got this straightened out. UGH! Anyway, just wanted to pointed out a friendly tip in case anyone else was being as airheaded as I was! =)

Thats kinda of hard to say.
If I look back to most of the people who have posted here, it seems like 40mg 3x day was the normal to start with when the problems were bad.
Then it went to 20mg 2x day.
But each case is different, some take more, some take less.
Many times, its the doctor who is writing the scripts vs the patient.
