I finally have some answers to symptoms I thought for sure was related to my back and CES. 5 days ago they diagnosed me with Parkinson's disease. =(( Not exactly what you want to hear when you have a back that is pretty well destroyed but the diagnosis is not as bad as the not knowing.

At least now I know where to begin instead of wondering which way to go. I meet with a Movement Disorder doc as soon as I can get an appt. with one in SLC. Then my journey begins. Love, Hope, & Faith is what I don't leave home without. They say that knowledge is power, I plan on getting absolutely as much info as I can and being involved in as much as possible. I just thought I would share this with you since it has been so long since I last posted. I will try to keep you informed. Wish me luck >:D<

  • Good luck with your appts. I hope it goes better for you now that you have your diagnosis. I know what you mean, that it's tough not knowing. Now that you do know, you can start dealing with the issues you have to. You sure have a good attitude! And that should help you lots. God bless, and keep posting as to your progress.

  • Good luck for the future. Sorry to hear about your diagnosis but armed with knowledge it will help you go on. Take care. Charry

  • Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement. Paul, thank you for the link. I have already signed up for their newsletters as well as the Parkinsons disease foundation, etc. I also plan on finding a support group in my area, but will keep everyone here posted as you have all been a very big support through this entire ordeal. Thank you again, God Bless all of you. Tonya

  • I'm sure you were crushed when you found out, but I know that you have the strength and resolve to turn your lemons into lemonade (even sweet lemonade). Life seems to deal blows that set us back...but they don't have to stop us in our tracks. I'll say a prayer for you tonight
