Had a ACDF of the c4-5 in 07, never stopped pain. Now they say problem has been coming from the c3-4 the whole time. And it was found at the same time. And now two years later I have to have a ACDF at levels c3-4 and c5-6. I am 33, how much more will I loose by fusing two more levels? And will I still be the active mom?

  • Hi Firethornred. Although I had all three fused at the same time, I'm becoming more and more active all the time. I expect to be golfing in April. I know what you're going through is scary. Hang in there. With any luck, you'll be pain-free (or close to it, anyway) after your additional fusions, should you choose to have the surgery.

    Take care of yourself.

  • My main concern is with the C3-4, my doctor has already expressed deep concerns. And being the Dr. has said there are different risks, I'm having trouble accepting it. And glad to hear yours is working well for you. Hope you have better luck than I have.
