Anyone care to take a stab at figuring out what this means

I had ACDF surgery September of 07. They removed c5-c6 and c6-c7.

I had a wonderful recovery and had a year and a half of no pain and not hand/arm tingling... felt like a new man.

In December, I started getting that old familiar pain again. After conservative treatment failed again, proceeded with MRI with Contrast, Lumbar puncture CAT scan and EMG testing....

The results are back but I do not meet with NS again until next week and kind of want to know what this all means.

At C6-C7 there is minimal posterior osteophytic ridging and degenerative changes of the left greater than the right unconvertebral joint. There is minute central canal narrowing and left neural forminal narrowing.

Also, on further review, I do not see a normal flow-void involving the left internal carotid artery. Further evaluation highly recommended.

Had the EMG today and he said moderate to severe Root compression at the c6-c7 area....

Does this mean more surgery???? Was my carotid possibly injured during surgery????

Any replies are greatly welcomed even though I know you are not physicians....

You have additional degenerative changes, foraminal stenosis and (new) ostephyte(s) ... The questions you asked are best answered by your physician(s).

My only advice or comment is "if you pray ... why worry? and if you worry ... why pray?"

Be grateful for the things that you have and accept the things that you don't.

I used to complain about my feet, until I met a man with no legs.

I will add you to my lengthy prayer list,
