Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I am two weeks post op c6-c7 ACDF autograft with cages.

I am a bit worried and seeking reassurance the occasional chest pain tightening is related to sore muscles from poor posture after the surgery.

It feels very similar to upper back pain which i feel is definitely related to the surgery.

The pain is most felt after being a little more active around the house. When i sit down, the pain is upper center chest.
No shortness of breath, etc.

I'm only 42 relatively good health but been on hypertension meds since age 18.

Thanks in advance...

  • I would check with your doctor about your symptoms but there is something called cervical angina that feels similar to what you are describing. It is always best to check with your doctor.

  • I would call your Dr. It could be just the surgery though but if there's chest pain it's always better to get it checked out by your Surgeon. I hope your healing well. Take care. Charry
