cervical/lumbar injection pain

Good evening. I've had one each, cervical injection and one lumbar injection. Neither one helped at all with the pain I've had nor the headaches I get everyday. The only thing that helps the headaches is to lay down again and again. That goes on the whole day and evening. Question is,
I'm "supposed" to have more injections this coming week but have been thinking of saying no to them as neither has helped me so far. I do have an appointment for a second opinion on 4/9 but was wondering if anyone has had this same problem of the injections NOT working and how you handled it. Did you go through more even if the first didn't help or not? I have a very high pain tolerance but the lumbar injection put me over the edge and I screamed like a little kid. I really don't want anymore pain that what I have. Do others think injections are a waste of money? Any words of wisdon would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and have a great evening,

  • I have had one epidural in each area also. The cervical one was great, relief lasted 4 or 5 years. The lumbar one was painful and did nothing. Last doctor wanted to do another one and I said no. New doctor did a botox injection in the para spinal muscle instead and that was great.
