Thank you for giving me my active life back

On Jan 19, 2009 I considered not checking in for my up coming posterior/anterior lumbar L5 fusion. I knew one day after surgery that I made the right decision. The day following surgery my actual back pain was gone and only the post surgery pain was left to manage. Following ALL of Dr.Ulrich's orders made the recovery time short with manageable pain. By day four I was walking 1 mile a day no more no less. 10 days after surgery I was ready to go back to the barn and start working BUT chose to stay away until the 14 day window had passed. Four weeks after surgery I have NO back or surgical pain and can lift 40lbs without any problems.
I can't thank my Dr's enough for giving me back my active life style. This means milking 250 dairy cattle, and most importantly riding my motorcycle.

  • I understand the nervousness. My surgery is on Thursday and I have considered backing out but I know that I need to go ahead. It is great to hear about people's successes. I am looking forward to sharing my success soon.
